Dr Jeffrey Baloyi is a senior executive in applied research, technology innovation and operational leadership, with a strong track record of leading high-performing teams within the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). For the past seven years, he led a specialised unit responsible for the development, deployment and management of bespoke information technology systems, supported by advanced data science and geospatial modelling capabilities, several of which are mission-critical to public and private sector clients. He held full accountability for the unit’s strategic direction, commercial performance and operational delivery, and the consistent delivery of key performance indicators. Dr Baloyi is recognised for aligning technical excellence with strategic priorities, strengthening organisational performance, and delivering high-impact solutions that support client success and broader institutional objectives.
